Why Hunt With Us?
Cow Creek Ranch is nestled in the bend of the Tombigbee River in central western Alabama. The river serves as its boundary on three sides of ranch which encompasses 2500+ acres of fertile Black Belt soil. This lush region of the country is known for its ability to produce stout Whitetail deer and attract upland birds and turkeys.
For the past 10 years, little hunting pressure has been applied to the ranch. The ranch has become a retreat for area bucks. During this time, only three bucks were harvested all scoring 140 and better on the Boone and Crockett scoring system. The 2006-2007 season will mark our first year of commercial hunting.
Our natural wildlife habitat is supplemented with a variation of small cornfields, soybean plots and green fields during hunting season. During the latter part of rut season, deer can graze on more than 100 acres of tender Ryegrass. Our deer population is supplemented with high protein deer pellets throughout the spring, summer and early fall. The ranch's natural terrain features various creek corridors and hardwood timber thickets. Our numerous stands and shooting houses ensure fresh hunts and flexable hunting sites depending on weather and wind conditions.
Hunting will be kept to a minimum of 4 hunters for three-day hunts per week ensuring a very cautious and generous approach to hunting pressure. Our hunting cabin is located right on the ranch and provides easy and quick access to hunting locations. We think you'll appreciate the woodsy, relaxed atmosphere of our cabin location.
